Ryan Andrews

Ryan Andrews, a 21-year-old right back for Young Boys, showcases his skills in defense with a solid physical presence at 181 cm and 77 kg. He predominantly uses his right foot, allowing for effective ball control and tackling on his favored side. In the current season, he has made 22 appearances, contributing one assist, indicating his ability to support attacking plays while primarily focusing on his defensive duties. With an average rating of 6.44 across 1051 minutes of play this season, Andrews demonstrates a steady performance, though there is room for improvement in his overall impact on matches. His role as a right back requires both defensive resilience and the ability to join in on offensive sequences when appropriate, and his assist suggests he is beginning to find his footing in contributing to the team's attacking efforts. Having transitioned from Watford to Young Boys for a fee of €3.0M, he is carving out a place for himself in the squad, and his contract until June 2029 indicates that the club sees potential in his development. As he continues to gain experience in a competitive environment, he has the opportunity to refine his skills and make a significant impact in the seasons to come.
