Kacper Potulski

Kacper Potulski is an imposing central defender at 193 cm tall and weighing 85 kg, bringing a strong physical presence to the backline. His current role at FSV Mainz 05 sees him effectively utilizing his size and strength to disrupt opponents and contribute to defensive stability. Potulski's playing style is characterized by his ability to read the game, as evidenced by his 26 interceptions this season, showcasing his awareness and positioning. In the 2025/2026 season, he has made 26 appearances, scoring 2 goals and averaging a solid rating of 6.90. His contributions extend beyond mere defending, as he has also registered 4 key passes, indicating his ability to initiate attacks from the back. Although he has only recorded 6 tackles this season, this suggests a focus on interception and positioning rather than aggressive challenges, which can be a strategic choice in his defensive play. Potulski's recent transition from Mainz 05 II to the first team highlights his development and the trust the coaching staff places in him as a young talent. With his age of just 18, he is still in the early stages of his career, but his performances indicate a promising future as he continues to gain experience in a competitive environment.
