Jayden Nelson

Jayden Nelson plays as a left winger for Austin in Major League Soccer. At 170 cm and 63 kg, he combines a nimble frame with agility, allowing him to maneuver effectively on the flanks. His preferred right foot enables him to cut inside and create scoring opportunities, while also maintaining the ability to deliver crosses from wider positions. In the current season, Nelson has made 31 appearances, contributing 2 goals and 1 assist. His average rating of 6.63 suggests he is a consistent performer, though he may look to improve his goal involvement further. With 1366 minutes played, he has established himself as a regular in the squad, demonstrating his value to the team's attacking dynamics. His journey to Austin included stints at Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Rosenborg, where he gained experience and honed his skills. While still developing as a player at only 23 years old, he shows potential to become a more influential figure in the attacking third as he continues to gain experience in the league. Nelson's contract until December 2028 indicates that the club has faith in his ability to grow and contribute to their future success.
