Diego Sánchez

Diego Sánchez plays as a striker for Atlético Progreso and stands at an impressive height of 191 cm, giving him a physical presence on the pitch. At 26 years old, he has the experience to navigate the challenges of his position, but his current season stats reflect a gradual development phase. With 8 appearances and 1 goal in the 2025/2026 season, he averages a rating of 6.51 over 294 minutes of play, indicating that he is still finding his stride. Sánchez utilizes his height effectively, likely making him a target for aerial duels and set pieces. While his goal tally suggests he may not be the leading scorer at this time, his role involves more than just finding the back of the net. His contributions may include holding up play, linking with midfielders, and creating space for teammates. As he continues his contract with Atlético Progreso until December 2026, Sánchez has the opportunity to further develop his game and increase his impact on the team. While his current performance may not be standout, his physical attributes and experience could serve him well as he seeks to enhance his contributions in the coming matches.
