David Da Costa

David Da Costa serves as a central attacking midfielder for the Portland Timbers, showcasing his creativity and playmaking abilities on the field. Standing at 168 cm and weighing 60 kg, he brings a low center of gravity that aids in his agility and ability to maneuver in tight spaces. His right foot is his preferred choice, allowing him to deliver precise passes and shots that can unlock defenses. In the current season, Da Costa has made 23 appearances, contributing three goals and averaging a rating of 6.74. His involvement over 1680 minutes indicates a solid presence in the team's attacking setup, where he likely plays a key role in linking midfield play to the forwards. While his goal tally may seem modest, it reflects his involvement in the build-up rather than solely focusing on scoring. Da Costa's style blends technical skill with vision, enabling him to create opportunities for his teammates. As he continues to adapt in the competitive landscape of the MLS, he remains an integral part of the Timbers’ midfield, tasked with orchestrating attacks and maintaining possession. With a contract running until December 2028, he has the potential to further develop and solidify his place within the team.
