Walid Cheddira

Walid Cheddira currently operates as a striker for Lecce, where he is on loan from Napoli. Standing at 187 cm and weighing 80 kg, he possesses a strong physical presence that can be advantageous in holding off defenders and winning aerial duels. His right-footed shooting allows him to create scoring opportunities, although his current season's statistics indicate that he has only found the net once in 33 appearances. In the ongoing 2025/2026 season, Cheddira has averaged a rating of 6.54 over 1064 minutes of play. While his goal tally may be modest, he has contributed to the team's attacking play with nine key passes, showcasing his ability to create chances for teammates. His defensive contributions are minimal, with only two tackles recorded, suggesting that his primary role is focused on offensive output rather than defensive duties. Despite the challenges in converting his chances into goals, Cheddira's experience from multiple loan spells, including recent stints at Sassuolo and Espanyol, indicates a player who is adapting and seeking to make his mark. His current situation at Lecce presents an opportunity for him to find his rhythm and contribute more significantly to the team's success.
