Unai Gómez

Unai Gómez plays as a central attacking midfielder for Athletic Club, where he is beginning to establish himself within the first team. At 183 cm and 75 kg, he possesses a solid physical presence that complements his role, enabling him to engage effectively in both offensive and defensive duties. With a preferred left foot, he is adept at creating opportunities and delivering passes that can unlock opposing defenses. In the current season, Gómez has made 39 appearances, contributing 2 goals and 1 assist to his team's efforts. While his average rating of 6.48 suggests room for improvement, it reflects his growing involvement in matches and his capacity to influence play. His time on the pitch totaling 1,336 minutes indicates that he is a trusted option for the coaching staff, likely due to his work rate and tactical understanding. As a young midfielder, Gómez is still developing his game but shows promise in his ability to connect play and support attacking movements. His ongoing contract until June 2028 suggests that Athletic Club sees potential in his future contributions, as he continues to gain valuable experience at a competitive level.
