Sven Sonnenberg

Sven Sonnenberg is a central defender currently playing for Saarbrücken in the Germany 3.Liga. Standing tall at 194 cm and weighing 83 kg, he possesses a significant physical presence in the defensive line. His height and build allow him to excel in aerial duels, making him a valuable asset during set pieces and when defending against opposing attackers. In the current season, Sonnenberg has made 16 appearances, averaging a rating of 6.21. This suggests that while he may not be consistently dominant, he contributes to the team’s defensive efforts over the course of the matches he has played. His experience in the lower leagues, including stints at clubs like Hansa Rostock and Heracles Almelo, has likely honed his abilities in positioning and tactical awareness. Though his impact may not always be reflected in standout statistics, Sonnenberg's role as a central defender is crucial for maintaining team shape and stability at the back. As he continues his contract with Saarbrücken until June 2026, he aims to solidify his place in the squad and enhance his performances in the competitive landscape of Germany’s third tier.
