Simone Ghidotti

Simone Ghidotti serves as a goalkeeper for Sampdoria and has established himself as a reliable presence between the posts. At 193 cm and 73 kg, he possesses the physical attributes that give him an advantage in aerial duels and shot-stopping situations. Currently, he has made 21 appearances in the 2025/2026 season, accumulating 1920 minutes of playtime with an average rating of 6.65, indicating a steady performance level. His journey has seen him transition from Como, where he had multiple loan spells, to ultimately securing a position at Sampdoria. This experience in various competitive environments has likely contributed to his development, allowing him to adapt and improve his game. Ghidotti's preferred right foot suggests he may be more comfortable making saves and distributing the ball with that side, which is crucial for initiating counter-attacks or maintaining possession. As he continues with Sampdoria until June 2027, Ghidotti's role will be pivotal, especially as he looks to solidify his position and contribute to the team's defensive efforts. His consistent appearances indicate that the coaching staff values his contributions, and his experience will be vital as the season progresses.
