Shaun Hobson

Shaun Hobson serves as a central defender for Halifax Town, where his physical presence and defensive capabilities are integral to the team's structure. Standing at 188 cm and weighing 84 kg, he brings a solid frame that aids in aerial duels and physical battles against opposing forwards. Throughout the current season, he has made 29 appearances, contributing two assists, which highlights his ability to support attacking plays from the back. With an average rating of 6.23 over 2542 minutes of play, Hobson demonstrates a consistent level of performance, though there is room for improvement in his overall impact on matches. His right foot is his preferred option, suggesting he is comfortable in making clearances and distributing the ball effectively to initiate counter-attacks or maintain possession. Hobson's recent transfer to Halifax Town from Oldham Athletic signifies his potential to solidify the defensive line further. As he continues his contract until June 2026, he will aim to enhance his contributions and help the team achieve its goals in the league. His experience across various clubs, including Southend United and AFC Bournemouth U21, adds to his understanding of the game, making him a valuable asset in the central defensive role.
