S. Tanaka

S. Tanaka is a central defensive midfielder known for his robust presence in the midfield. Standing at 183 cm and weighing 68 kg, he uses his physicality effectively to break up opposition play and shield the defense. His right foot enables him to distribute the ball accurately, contributing to his team's build-up from deep positions. In the current season, Tanaka has made 15 appearances, scoring once, and maintains an average rating of 6.78 over 1143 minutes of action. His ability to contribute both defensively and offensively allows him to play a crucial role in linking the two phases of play. While he may not be the most prolific scorer, his capabilities in controlling the midfield and providing stability are evident in his performances. Playing for Cerezo Osaka, he has settled into the team since his transfer from Consadole Sapporo in 2024. With a contract running until June 2028, he is poised to continue making an impact in the J1 League, where his work rate and tactical understanding will be vital for his club's ambitions.
