Ricardo Alves

Ricardo Alves serves as a central defender for Chaves, where he plays a pivotal role in the team's defensive structure. Standing at 181 cm and weighing 74 kg, he possesses a solid physical presence that aids him in aerial duels and challenges against opposing attackers. His left-footed preference allows him to effectively distribute the ball from the back, contributing to build-up play and helping his team maintain possession. With 14 appearances and an average rating of 6.36 in the current season, Alves demonstrates a reliable yet steady performance on the pitch. His experience, gathered over years spent in various Portuguese clubs, equips him with the tactical awareness needed to read the game and position himself effectively. While his statistics suggest he may not be at the peak of his powers, he remains a crucial component of the defensive line, often tasked with leading by example and mentoring younger players. As he continues his contract with Chaves until June 2026, Alves' role is not only to defend but also to provide stability and leadership in a competitive environment. His contributions, both on and off the field, reflect his commitment to the club and the sport.
