Régis Gurtner

Régis Gurtner serves as a goalkeeper for Lens, bringing experience and stability to the team's defensive lineup. Standing at 182 cm and weighing 82 kg, he combines a solid physical presence with the agility needed for a player in his position. As a right-footed goalkeeper, he is adept at distributing the ball effectively, though his current season average rating of 6.27 suggests that he may be facing challenges in maintaining peak performance. In the ongoing 2025/2026 season, Gurtner has made 20 appearances, contributing a total of 526 minutes on the pitch. His experience in goal is evident, but the average rating indicates room for improvement in his shot-stopping and command of the area. Despite this, he remains a vital part of the squad, providing leadership and mentorship to younger players. Having transferred to Lens from Amiens SC in 2025, Gurtner continues to play a critical role as a seasoned goalkeeper in the squad. His contract extends until June 2026, which highlights the club's trust in his abilities as they navigate the challenges of the current season.
