Matías Romero

Matías Romero operates as a striker for Nueva Chicago, where he brings a physical presence to the frontline. Standing at 185 cm and weighing 93 kg, he uses his size to his advantage, often winning aerial duels and holding off defenders. His right foot is his preferred option for finishing, contributing to his role as a target man in the attacking setup. In the current season, Romero has made 13 appearances and scored 1 goal, showcasing his ability to contribute, albeit with room for improvement in his scoring rate. His average rating of 6.54 suggests that he has been a consistent presence on the pitch, contributing to the team's overall play without being a standout performer. With 678 minutes played, he is still working to find his rhythm and maximize his impact in matches. Romero's playing style likely emphasizes physicality and positioning, making him useful in holding up the ball and linking up with teammates. As he continues his contract with Nueva Chicago until December 2026, there is potential for him to refine his craft further and increase his scoring output as he adapts to the demands of the league.
