Matías Fonseca

Matías Fonseca is a striker currently playing for Instituto in the Argentina Primera Nacional. Standing at 181 cm and weighing 80 kg, he brings a solid physical presence to the attacking line. With a right-footed preference, he is likely to be involved in finishing opportunities and creating chances, although his current season statistics suggest he has yet to find his scoring touch consistently. In the ongoing 2025/2026 season, Fonseca has made 24 appearances, contributing 1 goal and 1 assist, which reflects a modest output given his role. His average rating of 6.53 indicates that while he is a part of the team's offensive plans, there may be room for improvement in his overall impact on matches. Over 1038 minutes on the pitch, he is gradually working to establish himself as a reliable option in front of goal. Fonseca's recent transfer to Instituto from Racing suggests a search for more playing time and a chance to develop his skills further. As he continues in this competitive league, he will be looking to increase his contributions and make a more significant mark in the attacking phase for his club and, potentially, at the national level with Uruguay.
