Matías de los Santos

Matías de los Santos operates as a central defensive midfielder, bringing a solid presence to the midfield for La Luz. Standing at 176 cm and weighing 68 kg, he utilizes his compact frame to navigate tight spaces effectively. His preferred right foot allows him to execute passes and tackles with precision, contributing to both defensive stability and ball distribution. In the current season, de los Santos has participated in seven matches, averaging a rating of 6.46 over 171 minutes of play. While these statistics suggest that he is still finding his rhythm within the team, they also indicate his reliability in controlling the midfield dynamics during his appearances. His role is critical, as he acts as a shield for the defense and initiates transitions from defense to attack. De los Santos's experience, gained through previous loan spells and club transitions, has likely equipped him with the tactical awareness necessary for his position. He continues to develop his game at La Luz, where he is under contract until December 2026, suggesting the club's investment in his potential to grow and contribute further to their success.
