Matheus Sales

Matheus Sales operates as a central defensive midfielder, bringing a solid presence to the Botafogo SP midfield. Standing at 178 cm and weighing 69 kg, he combines agility with physicality, allowing him to effectively disrupt opposing plays and contribute to his team's defensive stability. His right-footed playstyle is characterized by an ability to execute accurate passes and maintain possession under pressure, which is crucial in his role. In the current season, Sales has made six appearances, averaging a rating of 6.71 over 295 minutes of play. This indicates a consistent, if not standout, level of performance that helps anchor the midfield. His experience, derived from a varied career across different clubs, contributes to his understanding of the game, positioning him as a reliable option for both defensive duties and initiating attacks from deep. As he continues his contract with Botafogo SP until November 2026, Sales looks to solidify his role further within the squad. His ability to read the game and contribute defensively makes him an essential component as the team seeks to build a competitive edge in their league.
