Martín Payero

Martín Payero currently operates as a central midfielder for Cremonese, showcasing a balanced blend of defensive responsibility and playmaking ability. Standing at 182 cm and weighing 80 kg, he possesses a solid physical presence that allows him to compete effectively in midfield duels. His right foot is his preferred choice, and this helps him in executing key passes, as evidenced by his tally of eight key passes in the current season. In the 2025/2026 season, Payero has made 22 appearances, contributing one goal to his team’s efforts. While his average rating of 6.59 suggests he has had a steady, if not standout, season, his defensive contributions, including ten interceptions, highlight his capability to read the game and break up opposition play. Although he has only registered one tackle, his role seems to lean more towards facilitating attacks rather than solely focusing on defensive duties. Payero's transfer history reflects his journey through various leagues, including notable stints in Argentina and England before his move to Udinese and subsequent loan to Cremonese. His current situation sees him in a position to impact the midfield dynamic, where his experience can be beneficial in guiding the team's play.
