Mario Cantero

Mario Cantero serves as a central midfielder for Burgos, where he brings a blend of technical skill and tactical awareness to the team's midfield. Standing at 178 cm and weighing 65 kg, he has a balanced physique that allows him to navigate tight spaces while contributing defensively and offensively. In the current season, he has made 13 appearances, providing one assist, which indicates his ability to support attacking plays despite not being a prolific scorer. With an average rating of 6.55 over 449 minutes this season, Cantero demonstrates consistency in his performances, although there is room for growth in terms of impact. His role likely involves linking defensive actions to offensive plays, helping to control the tempo of the match and facilitate ball movement through the midfield. As a relatively young player at 24, he is still developing his game and finding his footing at the senior level. Having joined Burgos after a spell at Celta de Vigo III, Cantero is in a position to build on his experiences and refine his skills. Under contract until June 2027, he has a solid opportunity to establish himself further within the team and make significant contributions in the coming seasons.
