Lukas Klostermann

Lukas Klostermann serves as a central defender for RB Leipzig, where he brings a solid physical presence to the backline at 189 cm and 83 kg. His right-footed playing style is characterized by a balanced approach to defending, combining strength with tactical awareness. Although his current season reflects a modest average rating of 6.45 across 13 appearances, he has demonstrated his ability to contribute defensively with 2 interceptions, showcasing his positioning and anticipation skills. In addition to his defensive duties, Klostermann has shown an inclination to support the attack, recording 2 key passes this season. This ability to transition from defense to offense adds a layer to his gameplay that can be beneficial for his team. However, with only 190 minutes played this season, it remains to be seen how he will integrate more consistently into the team's plans. Having joined RB Leipzig from VfL Bochum in 2014 for €1.0M, he is now under contract until June 2028, indicating the club's long-term investment in his abilities. Currently, he is navigating a crucial phase of his career, looking to reclaim a more prominent role in the squad.
