Luca Sosa

Luca Sosa serves as a central defender for Barcelona Guayaquil, bringing a solid presence to the backline at 185 cm tall. With a left-footed preference, he is adept at playing the ball out from the back, contributing to his team's build-up play. Currently, he has made 13 appearances this season, averaging a rating of 6.58 over 948 minutes of action, indicating a reliable, if not standout, performance level. His experience in the Ecuadorian league is evident through his recent loan spells and transfers, which reflect a career focused on finding stability and consistent playing time. Sosa's role as a central defender requires him to maintain discipline and composure, qualities that he likely brings to his position. While he may not shine with high-profile accolades, his contributions are essential for the team's defensive structure. Sosa's ability to read the game and make crucial tackles helps to mitigate pressure on the backline, allowing his teammates to play more freely in attack. As he continues his contract with Barcelona Guayaquil until December 2026, he remains a key figure in the club's defensive strategy.
