Luca Podlech

Luca Podlech is a promising young goalkeeper currently making his mark at Schalke 04. Standing at an impressive 200 cm and weighing 91 kg, he possesses a commanding presence in the box, which is crucial for a player in his position. His height allows him to excel in aerial duels, making it challenging for opposing attackers to score from set pieces or crosses. In the current season, Podlech has made 15 appearances, accumulating 1,350 minutes of match time. This experience is invaluable for a player of his age, as it allows him to develop his skills and adapt to the demands of senior football. His right-footed preference indicates his comfort in playing out from the back, an essential trait for modern goalkeepers who are increasingly required to contribute to the team's build-up play. Podlech's ongoing contract until June 2028 suggests that Schalke 04 has confidence in his potential and long-term development. As he continues to gain experience and refine his game, he is likely to become a key figure in the club's aspirations moving forward.
