Leighton Clarkson

Leighton Clarkson currently plays as a central midfielder for Blackpool, showcasing his skills in the English football landscape. Standing at 175 cm and weighing 62 kg, he brings a blend of agility and stamina to the pitch. In the ongoing 2025/2026 season, he has made 38 appearances, contributing 2 assists, which reflects his ability to support the attack while maintaining a solid presence in midfield. With an average rating of 6.67 over 1550 minutes of play, Clarkson demonstrates a steady performance, often fulfilling the role of a reliable playmaker. His right foot is preferred, suggesting that he is comfortable distributing the ball and making crucial passes, although the limited number of assists indicates that he may not be the primary creative force in the team. Instead, he likely focuses on maintaining possession and providing defensive support when necessary. Having transitioned from youth football at Liverpool to the senior ranks, Clarkson's experience with Aberdeen before joining Blackpool has likely enhanced his understanding of the game at a competitive level. He continues to develop his craft in the midfield, where his work rate and tactical awareness are essential for his team's dynamics.
