Junior Mwanga

Junior Mwanga, a 22-year-old central defensive midfielder currently on loan at Nantes, showcases a versatile playing style that allows him to impact both defensive and offensive phases of the game. Standing at 184 cm and weighing 72 kg, he possesses a solid physical presence that aids in his defensive duties, where he has recorded 11 interceptions and 3 tackles this season. His ability to use both feet effectively allows him to adapt to various situations on the pitch, making him a valuable asset in midfield. In the ongoing 2025/2026 season, Mwanga has made 22 appearances, contributing 1 goal and 1 assist, along with an average rating of 6.78 over 1781 minutes of play. While he has shown promise in his passing and playmaking abilities, the number of tackles indicates a more reserved role in the defensive aspect, focusing instead on intercepting plays and transitioning the ball forward. Having moved through various loan spells, including recent transfers from Bordeaux to Strasbourg, and now to Nantes, Mwanga is in a critical phase of his development. His current loan at Nantes presents a chance to further hone his skills and establish himself as a reliable midfielder in competitive matches.
