Juan Portilla

Juan Portilla is a central midfielder for Athletico PR in the Brazil Campeonato Brasileiro Série A. At 27 years of age, he stands at 183 cm and weighs 80 kg, utilizing his right foot to control the midfield. He plays a critical role in his team's structure, contributing both defensively and offensively, although his assist tally this season indicates a more reserved attacking output. In the current season, Portilla has made 29 appearances and has accumulated an average rating of 6.71 over 1668 minutes of play. This suggests he maintains a steady presence in the midfield, helping to facilitate ball movement and support the team's defensive efforts. While his single assist might not reflect a playmaker's typical contribution, it highlights his role as a reliable option rather than a primary creator. His career trajectory shows a steady progression through various clubs, with a recent move to Athletico PR indicating faith in his abilities at a higher level. As he continues his contract until December 2028, Portilla is expected to solidify his influence in the midfield, providing stability and experience to his team in one of South America's most competitive leagues.
