Josué Quijano

Josué Quijano operates primarily as a right back for Real Estelí, where he utilizes his experience and tactical awareness to contribute to the team's defensive stability. Standing at 163 cm, he may not have the towering presence often associated with his position, but his agility and low center of gravity allow him to maneuver effectively in tight spaces and engage in quick challenges. With a current average rating of 6.54 over 7 appearances in the 2025/2026 season, Quijano plays a solid, albeit understated role. He demonstrates reliability in his defensive duties, helping to shield the back line while also supporting forward movements when the opportunity arises. His right-footedness is a crucial asset, allowing him to deliver accurate passes and crosses along the flank. At 35 years old, he brings veteran leadership to the squad, likely mentoring younger players and helping them adapt to the demands of the game. Quijano's contributions go beyond mere statistics; his understanding of the game and ability to read opponents make him a valuable asset for both club and country. As he continues to perform, his experience will be key in navigating the challenges of the league and international play.
