Josh Doig

Josh Doig is a 23-year-old left back currently playing for Sassuolo in Italy's Serie A. Standing at 189 cm, he combines notable height with agility, making him a strong presence on the left flank. His preferred left foot allows him to deliver effective crosses and contribute to attacking plays, while also being defensively sound. In the current season, Doig has made 31 appearances, scoring once and maintaining an average rating of 6.62 over 2037 minutes played. This indicates his consistent involvement in matches and a solid performance level, though there is room for improvement in his overall impact on games. His ability to contribute offensively while fulfilling defensive responsibilities showcases his versatility as a modern full-back. With a contract lasting until June 2025, Doig has established himself as a valuable asset for Sassuolo. His experience in both the Scottish leagues and now in Serie A suggests he is adapting well to the demands of higher-level football, and his ongoing development will be key to his future contributions at the club and potentially for the national team.
