Jonas Svensson

Jonas Svensson is a reliable right back currently playing for Rosenborg. At 33 years old, he brings a wealth of experience to the backline, contributing significantly with his strengths in strength, pace, and agility. His ability to intercept passes and his ambition on the pitch make him a valuable asset defensively, allowing him to maintain solid positioning during matches. While Svensson has shown proficiency in key passing and distribution, his offensive contributions are somewhat limited, particularly in crossing and aerial ability. This indicates a more defensive role within the team, where his primary focus is on thwarting opposition attacks rather than providing width and scoring opportunities. His average rating of 6.65 over 13 appearances this season suggests that he is performing consistently, though there is room for improvement in his overall impact on the game. Standing at 170 cm, Svensson's physical attributes allow him to maneuver well on the field, effectively utilizing his pace and agility to track back and defend against opposing wingers. His long flat throw is also an interesting tool in set-piece situations, potentially offering an alternative way to restart play from the sidelines. Overall, Svensson plays a crucial role in stabilizing the defensive unit at Rosenborg, demonstrating reliability and tactical awareness.
