Jon Benton

Jon Benton, the 24-year-old English central midfielder standing at 176 cm, currently plies his trade at Boreham Wood. Despite his relatively low average rating of 6.46 from 7 appearances in the 2025/2026 season, Benton has shown potential in the limited 160 minutes he has played. As a right-footed player, he brings balance to the midfield and provides versatility in distribution and defensive duties. Benton's journey through various clubs like Aveley, Solihull Moors, and Maidstone United indicates his willingness to adapt and grow as a player. His recent permanent move to Boreham Wood suggests that the club sees potential in his abilities and values what he can offer to the team. With more game time and experience, Benton has the opportunity to further develop his skills and make a more significant impact on the pitch. As a central midfielder, Benton's role involves linking the defense with the attack, controlling the tempo of the game, and providing support both defensively and offensively. While he may not have set the league on fire yet, his steady progress and dedication to improving indicate that he has the potential to become a valuable asset for Boreham Wood in the seasons to come.
