Joaquín Fernández

Joaquín Fernández, a central defender for Huesca, plays a crucial role in the team's defensive setup. Standing at 190 cm, his height gives him a notable advantage in aerial duels, allowing him to effectively challenge opponents and clear threats from set pieces. With a current average rating of 6.84 from 6 appearances in the 2025/2026 season, he demonstrates a steady level of performance as he integrates into his new club. His experience, gained from stints in various leagues, contributes to his tactical awareness on the pitch. Fernández's right-footed playstyle allows him to distribute the ball effectively from the back, facilitating transitions from defense to attack. While he may not have notable offensive statistics, his primary focus remains on solidifying the defense, ensuring that he provides a stable foundation for the team. At 29 years old, Fernández brings both maturity and resilience to Huesca's back line. His contract extending until June 2026 suggests the club's confidence in his abilities to contribute consistently in the seasons to come.
