Jair Cunha

Jair Cunha serves as a central defender for Nottingham Forest, where his impressive height of 198 cm and weight of 87 kg make him a formidable presence in the defensive line. He is versatile, able to use both feet effectively, which enhances his ability to distribute the ball from the back. His current playing style emphasizes solid defensive work, with a focus on tackling and intercepting passes, as evidenced by his 5 tackles and 6 interceptions this season. In the ongoing 2025/2026 season, Jair has made 21 appearances, accumulating an average rating of 6.57 over 880 minutes of play. While he may not be the standout performer in terms of offensive contributions, his primary role is to provide stability and assure defensive integrity for his team. His contributions are vital as he continues to adapt to the demands of a competitive league. Having transferred to Nottingham Forest from Botafogo for €12 million in 2025, Jair is in a critical phase of his early career. His current situation reflects a player still honing his skills at the top level, with the potential for growth as he gains more experience in the English league.
