Hugo Pérez

Hugo Pérez is a 23-year-old central defender currently on loan at Gimnàstic Tarragona. Standing at 189 cm, he brings a considerable physical presence to the backline, which can be an asset in aerial duels and defensive challenges. This season, he has made 18 appearances, accumulating 594 minutes on the pitch, with an average rating of 6.52. These statistics suggest that while he may not be the standout player in each match, he consistently contributes to the team's defensive efforts. His experience includes previous loan spells at Huesca and Espanyol, as well as time in Villarreal II. This varied experience in different environments likely helps him adapt to various playing styles and tactical demands. As a right-footed player, he typically operates on the right side of central defense, where his positioning and decision-making are crucial to maintaining team stability. While still developing at 23, Pérez's role is to provide solid defensive coverage and contribute to the buildup play from the back. He is expected to enhance his contributions as he gains more experience and confidence in higher-pressure situations. Overall, he embodies the characteristics of a young central defender working to establish himself in the competitive landscape of Spanish football.
