Hélio Varela

Hélio Varela operates as a left winger for Maccabi Tel Aviv, where he has made a notable impact in the current season with 35 appearances. At 23 years old, he showcases a balanced skill set, contributing both goals and assists to the team's attacking efforts, having netted three goals and provided two assists so far. His average rating of 6.90 reflects a solid performance on the pitch, indicating his reliability as a contributor to the team's overall play. Standing at 176 cm and weighing 69 kg, Varela combines agility with a low center of gravity, allowing him to maneuver effectively in tight spaces. His preferred right foot suggests he may favor cutting inside from the left flank to create scoring opportunities, a common trait among wingers who aim to take advantage of their shooting ability. His current contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv runs until June 2028, which highlights the club's investment in his potential. As he continues to gain experience in a competitive environment, Varela is positioned to develop further and solidify his role within the squad.
