Gonzalo Villar

Gonzalo Villar serves as a central midfielder, showcasing his skills at Elche on loan from Dinamo Zagreb. Standing at 181 cm and weighing 73 kg, he combines a balanced physical profile with a right-footed playing style that allows him to effectively control the midfield. This season, he has made 28 appearances, contributing 1 goal and 1 assist, while averaging a rating of 6.67 across his 749 minutes on the pitch. His ability to create chances is highlighted by his 5 key passes, although his defensive contributions have been minimal with just 1 tackle and 1 interception. In terms of playing style, Villar demonstrates a solid understanding of midfield dynamics, often focusing on connecting plays rather than being heavily involved in defensive duties. His strengths lie in his vision and passing ability, which enable him to facilitate attacks and support teammates effectively. However, the limited defensive output suggests that his role may lean more towards facilitating ball progression rather than breaking down opposition plays. Currently, Villar finds himself on loan, providing him with an opportunity to make an impact at Elche while gaining valuable experience in a competitive environment. His journey through various clubs has shaped his development, and he continues to seek stability and growth in his career.
