Filippo Mane

Filippo Mane plays as a central defender for Borussia Dortmund, showcasing a solid physical presence at 188 cm and 78 kg. His right-footed playing style is characterized by a focus on defensive duties, which is reflected in his current season statistics. In 26 appearances, he has maintained an average rating of 6.61, indicating a reliable presence in the backline. Mane's strengths lie in his ability to read the game, as demonstrated by his 8 interceptions this season, which highlight his awareness and positioning. While he has contributed defensively, with 2 tackles recorded, there is room for growth in his overall contributions to the team's play. The young defender is still developing his style and adapting to the demands of top-flight football, which can be challenging for players of his age. His experience at Borussia Dortmund II prior to his promotion to the first team in 2025 suggests a pathway that he is beginning to navigate. With a contract running until June 2028, Mane is positioned to further establish himself within the squad, and his ongoing development will be crucial for both his career and the team's defensive stability. As he continues to gain experience, there is potential for him to enhance his impact on the field.
