Elias Jelert

Elias Jelert is a central defender currently on loan at Southampton, where he plays an important role in the team's defensive setup. Standing at 178 cm and weighing 62 kg, he combines agility with a solid physical presence. His preferred right foot allows him to effectively clear the ball and engage in aerial duels, while his ability to distribute the ball contributes to the team's build-up play, as evidenced by his 9 key passes this season. In the current 2025/2026 season, Jelert has made 20 appearances, providing 1 assist and averaging a rating of 6.70 over 822 minutes of play. His defensive contributions include 4 tackles and 10 interceptions, showcasing his ability to read the game and disrupt the opposition's attacks. While he may not be the most dominant force in the air, his quickness and positioning make him a reliable option in central defense. Jelert's journey has seen him transition from FC København to Galatasaray before arriving at Southampton for a loan spell. This experience has likely helped him develop his skills in a competitive environment. As he continues to gain valuable playing time, he aims to solidify his place within the squad and contribute to the team's success in the league.
