Dylan Mertens

Dylan Mertens plays as a central attacking midfielder for Telstar in the Dutch Keuken Kampioen Divisie. Standing at 181 cm and weighing 75 kg, he combines physical presence with technical ability, making him a valuable asset in the attacking third. Mertens prefers his right foot, which allows him to execute precise passes and attempts on goal, key attributes for a player in his position. In the current 2025/2026 season, Mertens has made 24 appearances, averaging a rating of 6.49 over 585 minutes of play. While these statistics indicate he is still finding his form, they also reflect his involvement in the team's attacking plays. He brings experience to the squad, having played across various clubs in different leagues, which enriches his understanding of the game. His role involves not only creating goal-scoring opportunities but also supporting the forwards and providing a link between midfield and attack. Mertens' ability to read the game and make intelligent decisions under pressure is crucial for Telstar as they navigate their league campaign. With a contract until June 2026, he has the opportunity to solidify his position and enhance his contributions to the team's success.
