Dion Rankine

Dion Rankine operates primarily as a right winger, utilizing his preferred right foot to contribute to his team's attacking play. Standing at 165 cm, he brings a low center of gravity that can aid in agility and quick movements on the field. Though he has seen limited action this season with 12 appearances and an average rating of 6.50 over 246 minutes, his compact frame allows him to navigate tight spaces and challenge defenders effectively. Currently playing for Crewe Alexandra, Rankine's role involves providing width and pace on the right flank. His ability to stretch the opposition's defense can create opportunities for teammates, while also being a potential threat for goal himself. At 23 years old, he is still developing his game, and his experience from stints at other clubs, including Chelsea U21 and Wigan Athletic, contributes to his understanding of the game. While his impact this season may not yet reflect standout performances, Rankine's work rate and commitment on the pitch indicate a player eager to make a mark. He remains under contract until June 2027, suggesting that his current club sees potential for growth and contribution in the coming seasons.
