Carlos Eduardo Borges Parente

Carlos Eduardo Borges Parente serves as a striker for Gil Vicente, where he brings a notable physical presence to the front line at 192 cm and 85 kg. His preferred left foot allows him to create opportunities and pose a threat to opposing defenses, even if his current season statistics indicate he is still finding his scoring touch. With 12 appearances and 1 goal in the 2025/2026 season, he has averaged a rating of 6.58, suggesting he is actively involved in games but may need to improve his impact in front of goal. At 23 years old, Borges is at a stage where he can refine his skills and develop further in a competitive environment. His height gives him an advantage in aerial duels, allowing him to be a useful target during set pieces and crosses. While his current goal tally may not reflect a prolific scoring rate, his role in the team likely includes contributing to build-up play and facilitating opportunities for teammates. With a contract until June 2028, there is time for him to grow and adapt to the demands of the league. The transition from Marítimo to Gil Vicente shows a step up in his career, and he has the potential to make a more significant impact as he gains experience.
