Calum Scanlon

Calum Scanlon plays as a left back for Cardiff City, currently on loan from Liverpool U21. In the 2025/2026 season, he has made eight appearances, averaging a rating of 6.65 over 200 minutes of play. His role primarily involves providing defensive stability on the left flank while also supporting offensive plays when opportunities arise. While the average rating suggests there is room for improvement, Scanlon's contributions in his appearances indicate he is still adjusting to the demands of the senior game. His experience gained through previous loan stints at Millwall and his current time at Cardiff City is vital as he develops his understanding of the tactical aspects required at this level. As a young player, he is likely focused on honing his defensive skills, positioning, and ability to join the attack, which is crucial for a modern full-back. His performances will be important for his growth and for Cardiff City as they aim to solidify their defense while also pushing forward in matches.
