Ander Cantero

Ander Cantero plays as a goalkeeper for Burgos, demonstrating reliability in his position with a solid average rating of 6.99 over 36 appearances in the current season. Standing at 192 cm, his height gives him a significant advantage in aerial duels and shot-stopping situations, allowing him to command his area effectively. His left-footed preference contributes to his distribution capabilities, helping to initiate plays from the back. With 3240 minutes played this season, Cantero has shown he is a key figure in the team's defensive setup. His experience, reflected in his tenure across multiple clubs, allows him to read the game well and make crucial saves when needed. While he may not have standout statistics in terms of flashy saves or clean sheets, his consistency and presence between the posts contribute greatly to Burgos' overall performance. As he continues his contract until June 2027, Cantero's role is pivotal in providing stability and confidence to the backline. His ability to remain composed under pressure makes him an integral part of Burgos' ambitions in the league.
