Aiyegun Tosin

Aiyegun Tosin operates primarily as a striker for Lorient, where he is known for his right-footed finishing and physical presence at 179 cm and 75 kg. This combination allows him to be effective in holding up play and linking with fellow attackers. His current season reflects a steady, if unspectacular, contribution, with 4 goals from 26 appearances, indicating he plays a role not only in scoring but also in creating opportunities, as evidenced by his 10 key passes. His average rating of 6.64 suggests he provides a reliable presence on the pitch, although there may be room for improvement in terms of impact. Tosin's defensive contributions, including 2 interceptions, highlight his work ethic and willingness to track back, which can be valuable in a modern attacking setup. Having joined Lorient from Zürich in 2023 for €4.0M, he is under contract until June 2027, indicating that the club sees potential in his abilities. Currently, Tosin is carving out his place in the team and continuing to develop his game in a competitive league.
