Frequently asked questions

What does a percentile score mean?

A percentile shows how a player ranks relative to all other players in the ScoutsLand database for a given stat. A score of 90 means the player outperforms 90% of tracked players in that metric, regardless of league or nationality.

Are the percentiles from the same league?

The global comparison tool ranks players across all tracked leagues worldwide. This lets you directly compare a Bundesliga striker with a Premier League winger, for example. Each player's individual league rankings tab uses league relative percentiles instead.

How many players can I compare at once?

You can add up to four players at the same time. The radar chart overlays all four polygons, and the stat breakdown table lists each player in their own column for easy reading.

How often is player data updated?

Match statistics are processed after every fixture and typically appear within a few hours of the final whistle. Season aggregates are recalculated nightly.

What does the AI comparison do?

The AI analysis (available to FAN subscribers) generates a written narrative comparing the two selected players across performance, playing style, and potential. It draws on the same underlying statistics visible in the comparison table and is labelled as experimental.

ScoutsLand's comparison tool lets you place up to four football players side by side and instantly see how they rank globally across goals, assists, passing accuracy, defensive duels, and more. Each metric is expressed as a percentile among all tracked players, so a score of 85 means the player outperforms 85% of peers worldwide.
